NETWORK & IoT ENGINEER • NETWOKRING SOLUTIONS

Currently, we are looking for a Networking and IoT Engineering to join our team in Tokyo, Japan.

Teltonika’s networking solutions business unit develops and manufactures industrial and enterprise connectivity equipment, primarily routers, switches, gateways, and modems. Our networking devices serve clients in the most complex areas of Industry 4.0, Smart City, and Green Energy.

Teltonika provides an opportunity for every ambitious engineer to improve their skills and be part of the technical support for innovative networking devices.

In this role, you will:

• Consult with employees and clients on device/solution-related technical issues
• Guide integrating our products into client solutions and addressing their challenges with Teltonika Networks products through written communication and online meetings
• Solve technical issues and look for a way to reduce them
• Propose different ways on how to incorporate our devices for various use cases.
• Be responsible for arranging technical tasks for custom development projects and coordinating solution release to clients.
• Have an opportunity to go on business trips to visit clients and help them directly implement Teltonika devices into their business use-cases.
• Prepare technical documentation and technical tasks
• Conduct training sessions for employees and clients on our products and solutions
• Self-sufficient resolution of technical issues originating from the customer’s configuration, firmware/software, and other sources
• Preparing documentation for internal and external use (e.g., Teltonika Wiki)
• Serve as a liaison between customers and Teltonika Networks R&D/Headquarters for complex technical challenges
• Have hands-on experience with Linux-based OS, industrial protocols, various networking services and protocols, and occasional 3rd party peripherals

What we expect of you:

• Good communication skills and etiquette, both in speaking and writing.
• Ability and desire to help others.
• Experience in 2nd or 3rd line technical support would be considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of Computer Networking, basics of telecommunication systems, and technologies.
• Advanced Japanese and good English language skills.
• Higher or equivalent technical / engineering education.
• Capability of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to form technical documentation.
• Certification in CCNA or similar courses would be considered an advantage.
• Experience working with industrial routers is an asset

What do we ask the engineer do: 

A five-day working week. The beginning of work is from 9:00 to 10:00, the end is from 18:00 to 19:00, After the probation period, we offer two days of remote work per week.
