PRODUCT OWNER • TELEMATICS
Vilnius, VL, LT
We are looking for a Product Owner for EVALON – Teltonika’s internal hardware testing ecosystem used for validating and launching all Teltonika electronic products into mass production. This role owns the product roadmap for manufacturing test stends, EVALON testing firmware, and HW/FW integration across the entire product portfolio. You will work closely with Product Owners, hardware engineers, manufacturing test engineers, and firmware teams to ensure every new device reaches production with a robust, scalable, and efficient testing process.
Teltonika’s telematics business unit develops and produces easy-to-use GPS tracking devices for effective fleet management in logistics, agriculture, car sharing, construction, and more. Using the latest technologies, Teltonika sets new standards for the telematics industry.
Core Responsibilities:
Product leadership
- Own and define the long-term vision and roadmap for the EVALON platform.
- Prioritize feature development based on new product introductions, manufacturing needs, and product team requests.
- Run a structured PPM-like process for evaluating and planning EVALON improvements.
Requirements & stakeholder alignment
- Collect and analyze testing needs from Product Owners, hardware teams, and manufacturing engineering.
- Translate requirements into clear specifications for new stends, fixture updates, or EVALON FW adaptations.
- Act as the primary bridge between R&D, manufacturing, and testing engineering teams.
Delivery orchestration
- Coordinate development of new EVALON testing firmware and test scripts.
- Ensure manufacturing test stends are adapted on time for prototype, pilot, and mass production stages.
- Maintain clear Definitions of Ready and Done to guarantee predictable delivery.
Hardware & quality (hands-on understanding required)
- Understand electronics, interfaces (UART, CAN, LIN, RS232, GPIO, power profiles), and fixture-level testing principles.
- Review stend architecture proposals and ensure they meet accuracy, timing, safety, and reliability requirements.
- Facilitate improvements to reduce manufacturing test duration, improve coverage, and increase throughput.
Security & compliance
- Ensure EVALON processes follow factory standards and traceability requirements.
- Safeguard secure handling of production firmware and internal tools.
Documentation & Product Ops
- Maintain clean backlogs and roadmaps.
- Publish release notes, EVALON FW updates, and stend configuration guidelines.
- Develop KPIs for coverage, test failure rates, stend readiness, and NPI timelines.
What we expect of you:
Fluency in English and Lithuanian (both spoken and written), as it will be your primary working language (additional languages are an advantage).
Experience
- 3+ years experience in product management, test development, or hardware electronics engineering.
- Proven experience with manufacturing test systems, fixtures, or HW validation tools.
- Background in electronics hardware, embedded systems, or test engineering.
Technical competency
- Solid understanding of microcontrollers, communication interfaces, PCB-level testing, and power measurement.
- Experience with production test environments (bed-of-nails, functional test stends, ICT/FCT).
- Ability to translate HW test requirements into structured features for FW developers.
- Familiarity with firmware loading, calibration, and device configuration flows.
Leadership & collaboration
- Strong stakeholder management skills (hardware, firmware, manufacturing, quality, production engineering).
- Structured planning and backlog management abilities.
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams.
Nice to have
- Understanding of test automation frameworks.
- Experience with Python, LabVIEW, C, or embedded scripting for test systems.
- Experience in NPI (new product introduction) or serial production processes.
What we offer:
- Great opportunities to grow in a strong and rapidly expanding company.
- Interesting and ambitious projects of industrial GPS tracking devices.
- Place where curiosity is key: here, we share knowledge and learn in training courses, conferences or business trips.
- Dynamic, challenging work environment and cooperation-based internal culture.
- Care about your emotional and physical well-being by offering flexible work schedules, hybrid work opportunities, the ability to work remotely, and health insurance.
- Company-paid sports activities (basketball, football, volleyball, yoga) and other sports events.
- Celebrating achievements and having fun together in team building, summer festivals, and other important occasions.
- Opportunity for solid bonuses when participating in the recommendation program.
- We delight with birthday and Christmas gifts and rewards on work anniversaries.
- Lunch snacks.
