HEAD OF EMBEDDED LINUX SUBGROUP • NETWORKING SOLUTIONS

We are looking for a Head of Embedded Linux Subgroup to strengthen our ambitious RnD team in Lithuania. You will work with the leading networking solutions in the world and master your master you leadership skills.

Teltonika’s networking solutions business unit develops and manufactures industrial and enterprise connectivity equipment, primarily routers, switches, gateways, and modems. Our networking devices serve clients in the most complex areas of Industry 4.0, Smart City, and Green Energy.

In this role, you will:

• Oversee a team of Embedded Linux developers, offering leadership and mentorship.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative environment to enhance team performance and satisfaction.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and other teams.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the team’s expertise remains cutting-edge.
• Work closely with hardware team and other cross-functionals teams to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components.
• Facilitate clear communication between departments to align development efforts with business goals.
• Identify potential project risks and implement mitigations strategies to minimize impact.
• Prepare regular reports for senior management on project progress, team performance and technical issues.
• Engage with customers to gather requirements, provide technical expertise and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Lead initiatives to streamline development processes, improve system performance and enhance overall product quality.

What we expect of you:

• Have strong leadership skills, communication skills, ability to inspire, motivate and develop a high-performing team.

• Familiar with Embedded Systems development.

• Have knowledge of Linux OS (buildroot/yocto).
• Have experience with working on a variety of embedded processors (SOC’s/microcontrollers).
• Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Have the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical people.
• Have a passion for mentoring and developing team members.
• Have experience in providing constructive feedback and career development support.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with various departments.
• Basic electronics knowledge.
• Basic UART, SPI, I2C, USB knowledge.
• Basic WiFi, Bluetooth knowledge.
• Experience of working with Linux device drivers and boot loader.
• Experience of working with OpenWRT OS.

Salary

We appreciate everyone's efforts and experiences, so we offer an attractive salary matching your skillset and field expertise. The salary for this position ranges from 25 Eur/h up to 40 Eur/h (~4150 Eur—6640 Eur) pre-tax, depending on your experience and expertise.

*In an employment agreement, we specify and define a fixed (tariff) hourly salary rate before taxes.
