We are looking for a Network & IoT Engineer to strengthen our ambitious team in Sydney, Australia. You will work with the leading networking solutions in the world and master your engineer skills.

 

 

Teltonika’s networking solutions business unit develops and manufactures industrial and enterprise connectivity equipment, primarily routers, switches, gateways, and modems. Our networking devices serve clients in the most complex areas of Industry 4.0, Smart City, and Green Energy.

 

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Consult with employees and clients on devices/solution-related technical issues
  • Provide guidance on integrating our products into client solutions and addressing their challenges with Teltonika Networks products through written communication and online meetings
  • Solve technical issues and look for a way to reduce them
  • Prepare technical documentation and technical tasks
  • Conduct training sessions for employees and clients on our products and solutions
  • Self-sufficient resolution of technical issues originating from customer’s configuration, firmware/software, other sources
  • Preparing documentation for internal and external use (e.g., Teltonika Wiki)
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and Teltonika Networks R&D/Headquarters for complex technical challenges
  • Have hands-on experience with Linux based OS, industrial protocols, various networking services and protocols and occasional 3rd party peripherals


 

What we expect of you:
 

  • Have a technical or Electronic Engineering background
  • Great communication skills
  • Working knowledge of software and operating system principles
  • Knowledge of basic internet technologies (WWW, FTP etc.)
  • Basics of telecommunication systems and technologies.
  • Ability to prepare technical documentation
  • Good knowledge of Wi-Fi technologies: 802.11 g/b/n/ac
  • Ability and experience configuring VLANs, QoS
  • Ability and experience configuring various VPN solutions: IPSec, L2TP, OpenVPN, DMVPN, SSTP; good knowledge of their working principles, differences
  • At least 12-month experience working with routers. Knowledge of 2G, 3G, 4G networks, ability to explain network authentication methods, data session establishment
  • Experience working with embedded, Linux-based OpenWRT operating system
  • Good problem solving (troubleshooting) skills
  • Knowledge and ability to use „AT “commands
  • Ability to write simple bash/ash scripts
  • Knowledge of Firewall principles, ability, and experience configuring Firewall with IPTABLES
  • Experience working with industrial routers is an asset
